Being a Malaysian singer and songwriter whose music style, a link between different genres together with honest and sincere lyrics, Yuna won a variety of nominations as well as awards for her contribution, including The Music Industry Award for Best Pop Song for Lelaki in 2013 and Berita Harian's Most Popular Star Award for Popular Female Singer in 2011.
She began her writing career since the age of 14 and had her first performance of her own songs when she was 19. In addition, she graduated from Universiti Teknologi MARA, Shah Alam in 2009 with a Bachelor of Legal Studies (Hons.) degree.
Her parents are Dato' Mat Zara'ai, a legal advisor of Pahang, and her mother, a high school teacher.
