Usain Bolt is a Jamaican athlete widely regarded as the fastest man in the world. He is currently holding both 100-meter and 200-meter world records. Bolt shot to fame with his 3 gold medals at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China, becoming the first man to win 100-meter and 200-meter race in records time. At the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London, Bolt won his fourth gold medals at the 100-meter race. At the 2013 World Championship in Moscow, he won 3 straight gold medals in 200-meter race. His achievements have given him the nickname “Lightning Bolt”. Bolt is one of the most successful athlete in the athlete world championships. He has a famous pose called “lightning pose” and he tends to strike it every time he compete in a race.
Bolt is the son of Wellesley and Jennifer Bolt, owners of a local grocery store in Sherwood Content, Trelawny. He has a brother and a sister, Sadiki and Sherine, respectively. He was an exceptional cricket player and sprinter early on. Bolt enrolled in Waldensia Primary and by the age of 12, he was the school’s fastest runner. Later on, he attended William Knibb Memorial high school and his speed was noticed. His coaches, Pablo McNei and Dwayne Jarrett, encouraged him to focus on his athletic capabilities. In 2001, Bolt won his first medal in high school championships. At the 2002 World Junior Championships, Bolt made a breakthrough by winning the 200-meter dash at the age of 15, making him the youngest world-junior athlete to win a gold medal.
In 2002, Bolt met Mizicann at a track meet. 2 years later, they started dating, however, their relationship ended in 2011 after 7 years. In November 2011, Bolt and Lubica Kucerova, a Slovakian fashion designer, started dating. This relationship was short-lived and only lasted for 6 months. Currently, Bolt is rumored to be in a relationship with Megan Edwards, a junior athlete.
