Tony Romo is an American football quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). He rose to popularity when being a Pro Bowl selection for the 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2014 seasons, together with Dallas Cowboys coming to the playoffs. Since 2006, it was recorded that he has overcome all of other NFL quarterbacks with high passer rating in the 4th quarter of a game.
As a child, he was selected to the Little League All-Star baseball team. His first steps as quarterback began from 1996 when playing for the Burlington High School, at which he also joined in the BHS varsity basketball team and took in golf and tennis. He graduated from Burlington High in 1998 before playing college football for Eastern Illinois University, an NCAA Division I-AA school, at which he led the Panthers football team to an Ohio Valley Conference championship in 2001 and won the 2002 Walter Payton Award as well.
He was in a two-year relationship with singer/actress Jessica Simpson before getting married to Candice Crawford, the 2008 Miss Missouri USA and a former journalist for Dallas television station KDAF, on May 28, 2011 with two sons, Hawkins Crawford Romo (born April 9, 2012) and Rivers Romo (born March 18, 2014).
