Being a Japanese actor, Togo Igawa was mainly active in British since 2000. He was recently famous for his appearances in Memoirs of a Geisha (2003), The Last Samurai (2005) and Hero of the Rails (2006). He also participated in the video game Crysis Warhead as voicing for the main villain Colonel Lee. In 2012, he had received a nomination for BAFTA Games Awards for his portrayal in Total War: Shogun 2 (2011).
In Japan, he was trained at The Haiyuza Theatre Company Acting School and Toho Gakuen College of Drama and Music. He was considered as the first Japanese member of The Royal Shakespeare Company in 1986.
His wife is Adrienne Baba.
