An Australian-Vietnamese singer, songwriter and musicianThanh Bui has already become true icons of "fame" for being the first Australian of Vietnamese background to reach the Top 10 on Australian Idol and as a member of the Australian group North with two albums – 2004’s self-titled set and 2006’s Straight Up. 2010 marked an incredibly exciting year for Thanh when his first single in Vietnam Lang Tham Mot Tinh Yeu was released which gained remarkable success. He is now principal at Soul Entertainment Corporation in Ho Chi Minh city. Thanh recently received his first gold album from Germany.
Thanh Bui was born in Adelaide, to a Vietnamese couple. He learned to play guitar and piano as a child. At the age of twelve , his passion for music was awaken when he joined the Victoria Children’s Choir and the boy-band North, who owned three number one hits in Thailand and Indonesia, and two chart-toppers in Malaysia.
Thanh Bui stirred public when he got married a prominent businesswoman Bui Hue Van in a luxurious wedding party on 28 December 2014.
