A Grammy-nominated American R&B and pop singer, host and reality television personality Tamar Braxton is best known for the release of the top twenty U.S. R&B single "Love and War" in 2012 after coming to prominence in the 1990s with the R&B group, The Braxtons. Tamar Braxton is currently one of the hosts of The Real talk show. For her outstanding performance, she won a numerous of awards and nominations including BET Award in 2011 and 3 nominations for Grammy Awards.
Born in Severn, Maryland, Tamar Braxton is the youngest of the Braxtons' six children, to Michael and Evelyn Braxton, an amateur opera singer. Tamar started her singing career in her church choir. Her first single with her sisters Good Life was released when she was thirteen. Additionally, she also released a number of albums such as So Many Ways, peaked at No. 83 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1996.
After ending her marriage with Darrell Allamby in 2003, she had been dating Vincent Herbert, a record executive and lived together in 2008. The two had a son named Darrell Allamby.
