Suchan Chae is widely known as a former member of the National Assembly of Korea, the chairman of the board of the Han River Society, and at the same time, is a professor at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology.
Suchan Chae was born on February, 27th 1955 in South Korea. He graduated from Seoul National University, and University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. and M.S. in mathematics and Ph.D. in economics. Before being appointed to the Korean National Assembly, he worked as an economics professor at Rice University for almost 20 years. He served in the National Policy Committee and the Finance and Economy Committee while he was in the National Assembly.
He was married.
