Being a Japanese engineer and industrialist, Soichiro Honda was known as the founder and developer of Honda Motor Company, turning the company into a billion-dollar multinational that provided the best-selling motorcycles in the world. He was ranked on People magazine's 25 Most Intriguing People of the Year list in 1980.
As a child, he helped his father in his bicycle repair business. At the age of 15, he moved to Tokyo to work as a car mechanic for six years before returning home to began his own auto repair business in 1928.
