Shila Amzah, a 25-year-old Malaysian singer, rose to fame when wining the Asian Wave held in Shanghai, China in 2012. She also caught the attention with her numerous awards, typically Kembara Award (International Breakthrough Award) at the Anugerah Industri Muzik (20th edition) in 2013. Breaking out to Asian countries like China, Singapore and Hong Kong, she planed to make her first appearance in South Korea in the near future due to her interest about K-drama and K-pop, specially boyband EXO.
Coming from a musician family, she began singing since the age of nine and made her debut album, Terima Kasih Guruku a year later. From then, she earned her numerous awards, initially the Most Popular Kids Artist at the Anugerah Bintang Popular Berita Harian (2000).
Her parents are Amir Amzah Salleh, a famous singing artist in the 80s and Fauziah Sarman, an actress. She has four siblings, in which her younger sister, Nur Syuhada is also a performer.
