Currently playing for Major League Soccer club Chicago Fire and the Scotland national team, attacking midfielder Shaun Maloney rose to fame for being the first player receiving the SPFA Players' Player of the Year and the SPFA Young Player of the Year awards in the same season. His professional career began in 2006 when he played for Celtic for fives years. After participating in Wigan Athletic, England in 2011 and won the 2013 FA Cup Final, he moved to Chicago in January 2015.

When he was 10, he frequently played for his first football club, Kincorth Boys' Club as well as his Primary School Team, St Joseph's.
