Lee Seung-yeon is an South Korean beauty pageant, actress and talk show host. She rose to fame as 3rd winner in 1992 Miss Korean and then represented South Korea to compete at 1993 Miss World. Shortly afterwards, she debuted acting career with a minor role in Our Paradise (1993). Among a number of her films like Love Is in Your Embrace, Hotel, Icing, Wedding Dress, Man of Autumn, Who's My Love, etc, her performance in series First Love (1996 – 1997) and Love and Ambition (2006) are most impressive.
After graduating from Inha Technical College in Incheon with a degree in Airline Navigation, Lee Seung-yeon became a flight attendant for Korean Air. Her breakthrough came when she joined and won the Miss Korea beauty pageant.
Unfortunately, while being on the top of career, she was involved in scandals and controversies related to using fake driver’s license, drug propofol and taking erotic photos of comfort women during World War II.
In 2007, Lee Seung-yeon married Kim Moon-chul, a Korean-American fashion entrepreneur. They had a daughter 2 years later.
