Jeong Hyeon-cheol, commonly known as Seo Taiji, is a South Korean singer, musician, and songwriter. Often refered to as "the President of culture", he devoted greatly to Korean pop culture and Korean pop's development in the 1990s.
Seo Taiji decided to quit from school to follow music career. At the age of 14, he participated in several rock bands and then became former member of band Sinawe. His breakthrough came between 1998 and 2002, while he joined Seo Taiji and Boys, a very successful South Korean boyband with 2 dancers Lee Jun-no and Yang Hyun Suk. Since 1998 up to now, he has run solo career.
His first marriage with actress Lee Ji-ah lasted from 1997 to 2006. Currently, he is living happily with the second wife, actress Lee Eun-sung and their daughter, who was born on 27 August 2014.
