Richard Nixon is one of the most fascinating figures in American history. He was the 37th President of the United States who became the first American President to resign from office.
He was honoured for many accomplishments which included ending Americcan involvement in the war in Viet Nam in 1973, initiating the Anti Ballistic Missile Treating with the SoViet Union, and oping diplomatic relationship with China, etc. After his resignation, he tried to rehabilitate his image. Unfortunately, Nixon suffered from a severe stroke on April 18, 1994 and died 4 days later at the age of 81.
Nixon graduated from Duke University of Law in 1937 and worked as a lawyer in California. During World war II he served in the United States Navy and gained national recognition after the House Un-American Activities Committee, of which he was a member. He served 8 years as a vice president and lost a race for the presidency in 1960.
