Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Rasheeda started her music career at her teens when forming hip-hop group Da Kaperz with two friends and worked with D-Lo Entertainment, a recording company. She left the group and began as a solo singer in 2000. Her album Dirty South was released in 2001 and gained some attention, especially with single Do It.
