Japanese actress Qyoko Kudo rose to fame for her appearance on Edmund Yeo's film Kingyo which earned her various nominations at Venice International Film Festival in 2009. In 2013, her appearance in Clothes Pegs was received nomination for Best Director and Best Lead Actress award at St. Tropez International Film Festival.
She was trained in acting at United Performers' Studio in Tokyo. During this time, she gained a role in Alejandro González Iñárritu's Babel in 2006.
