Prayuth Chan-o-cha is a retired Thai army officer who is now (2015) the Prime Minister of Thailand and head of the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO). He was also a former Commander in Chief of the Royal Thai Army from 2010 to 2014. He served in army from 1972 to 2014.
Prayut studied at the Armed Forces Academies Preparatory School (AFAPS) Class 12, Command and General Staff College (CGSC) Class 63, the National Defence College of Thailand (NDC) 5020. He graduated with a bachelor of science degree from Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy.
Prayut married to Naraporn Rojanachan and had two children named Thanya and Nittha.
