A Thai writer, novelist, artist,graphic designer, magazine editor, screenwriter,translator and media personality Prabda Yoon hit the spotlight with his literary debut,Muang Moom Shak (City of Right Angles) and Kwam Na Ja Pen, which made him a sensation of contemporary Thai literature. He is considered as one of the best known and influential of Thai writers with more than 20 books of fiction. For his contribution to national literature, he was awarded the most prestigious literary prize in Thailand the S.E.A. Write Award in 2002.
Prabda Yoon was born in a prominent family, to famous media personality Suthichai Sae-Yoon and former magazine editor and novelist Nantawan Sae-Yoon. He spent 2 years in Parsons School of Design in Manhattan, New York City, 4 years at the Cooper Union where he learned graphic design before returning to Thailand in 1998 for military service.
He has one younger sister Shimboon “Kit” Yoon.
