Armando Christian Pérez, most known with his stage name Pitbull, is an international music sensation who has sold millions of digital singles, scored two No. 1’s on Billboard’s Rap Albums charts, and has been featured on tracks by many pop-chart mainstays. His debut album "M.I.A.M.I.", a crunk and reggaeton disc whose title is an acronym for Money Is a Major Issue, was released under TVT Records in 2004 with the collaboration of Fat Joe, Trick Daddy and Lil Jon to reach number 14 on Billboard Hot 200. It was when the rapper hit upon what would become his trademark sound – mixing his Latin flavor with hip hop and dance – that he caught the public imagination. From 2011 to 2014, Pitbull has earned himself many awards: ALMA Award, Billboard Music Awards, iHeartRadio Music Awards along with an ocean of other Latin awards and nominations.
Pitbull was born to Cuban expatriates but raised only by his mother as his parents got divorce when he was just a kid. Pitbull began rapping at a very young age. After graduating from High School, he decided not to continue his study to college but focused on his rapping career instead. In 2001, Pitbull was signed to Luther Campbell's Luke Records, introduced to Robert Fernandez of Famous Artist Music & Management, then Fernandez introduced him to Lil Jon who thereafter offered him his own track on the album called "Pitbull's Cuban Ride Out", which was a feature that helped raise the young rapper's profile.
Pitbull got married to Barbara Alba and had 2 children together; however, after years of marriage, they decided to separate and so far it remains unclear if he is having another special woman in his life.
