Australian actress and model Phoebe Tonkin is well-known for her various roles as Fiona Maxwell in Tomorrow, When the War Began, Faye Chamberlain in The Secret Circle, and Hayley Marshall in The Vampire Diaries and its spin-off series The Originals. Typically, with the starring position as Cleo Sertori in H2O: Just Add Water, she was nominated a AFI Award for Best Lead Actress in Television Drama in 2008.
As a four-year-old child, she began dancing courses in classical ballet, hip hop, contemporary dance, and tap dance. At age 12, she attended the Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP) at the Wharf Theatre before entering Loreto Kirribilli and then graduating from the Queenwood School for Girls.
