Natalie Portman is an Israeli-original actress, producer, and director in America, who is well-known for the character Padmé Amidala in the Star Wars prequel trilogy (released in 1999, 2002 and 2005).
She has starred as a supporting role in many dramars including Closer, for which she was nominated an Academic and Golden Globe Adward. Addtionally, Portman has filmed for Goya's Ghosts (2006),The Other Boleyn Girl (2008), New York, I Love You. In 2010, Portman won her first Academy Award for Best Actress, her second Golden Globe Award, the SAG Award, the BAFTA Award and the BFCA Award for her appearance in Black Swan.
Portman attended dancing class at age four and performed in local church.
At the age of 10, she refused a invitation as a model from Revlon agent to focus on acting.
In 1999, she enrolled at Harvard University to study psychology while still working as an actress. She graduated as Bachelor on Psychology in 2003.
Portman used to date singer Devendra Banhart, their relationship ended in September 2008.
In 2009, she formed a relationship with ballet dancer Benjamin Millepied and got engaged in 2010.
Portman gave birth to their son Aleph Portman-Millepied June 2011. On August 4, 2012, they officially married in Big Sur, California.
