Najib Razak is the sixth Prime Minister of Malaysia, the position he has occupied since April 2009, with his statement of ensuring fair treatment of all ethnic groups within Malaysia and economic liberalisation measures. He also becomes the current President of the ruling United Malays National Organisation-dominated National Front coalition.
After attending Malvern College in Worcestershire, England and graduated from the University of Nottingham with a degree in economics in 1974, he worked for Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas), the national petroleum corporation. Pursuing his political family's career, in which his father Abdul Razak and his uncle Hussein Onn were Malaysia’s prime minister in the period 1970-1976 and 1976-1981 respectively, he took his deceased father's position in the lower house of parliament in 1976.
He and Tengku Puteri Zainah Tengku Eskandar married in 1976 and had three children named Mohd Nizar Najib, Mohd Nazifuddin Najib and Puteri Norlisa Najib. After ending his first marriage in divorce in 1987, he got married to Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor with two children, Mohd Norashman Najib and Nooryana Najwa Najib.
