Lee Mi-suk is a South Korean actress who is one of the best-known actresses of 1980s Korean cinema. Her notable films from this era are Whale Hunting, The Winter That Year Was Warm, Wanderer in Winter, etc. She retired after getting married then made her comeback with an award-winning leading role in An Affair (19988). Lee has since remained active in film and television.
Lee Mi-sook graduated from Korea University. She debuted in film at the age of twenty in Thoughtless Momo (1979).
Lee married Hong Sung-ho in 1987 and divorced in 2007. They have two children namely Hong Pil-won and Hong Yu--jin.
