She had many contributions in the field of female education. She began being the BBC blogger about living under the Taliban's threats to deny her an education in 2009. Time magazine listed Malala Yousafzai as one of "The 100 Most Influential People in the World" 3 times from 2013 to 2015.
She was affected a lot by her background. Her father, also an educational activist, educated her when she was young.
She was born to Ziauddin Yousafzai and Tor Pekai. She has two brothers.
