Lady Gaga is an American pop singer that was he first recorded artist in history to have three singles sell over four million copies each online. With the debut album titled The Fame (2008), Gaga set her first steps onto the road of fame. Being a strong and powerful vocalist and having a talent in writing songs, Gaga has proven herself a versatile and unique singer who has also become known for fashion stunts. Her second album in 2009, The Fame Monster was nominated for six Grammys, and her jazz album duets with Tony Bennett entitled Cheek to Cheek (2014) won a Grammy for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album.
Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta is the daughter of Joseph Germanotta who is an internet businessman and Cynthia Germanotta who is a telecommunications assistant. Gaga learned to play the piano when she was 4 and was accepted to the Julliard School in Manhattan by the age of 11 and had her first performance in a New York nightclub at the age of 14. Gaga was one of only 20 students in the world to be granted the honor of early acceptance to the New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts but she later left school to chase her creative expression. She used to work as a gogo dancer and write songs for other artists. Lady Gaga signed with Def Jam Records in 2005 and was dropped few months later. In 2007, she started working at Interscope Records and there she was discovered by R&B singer Akon who was the one to bring her to current success.
In 2011, Gaga began dating actor Taylor Kinney and they got engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2015.
