Kim Cattrall is an English-Canadian actress that is known for her role as Samantha Jones in the HBO romantic comedy series Sex and the City (1998-2004), which brought her the 2002 Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress. She was also ranked as her number eight on its"50 Sexiest Stars of All Time" list in 2005.
When she was three months old, her family migrated to Canada, and she returned to England at 11. She took a number of acting examinations with the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), before returning to Canada at age 16 to finish high school. After leaving Canada for New York City, she attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
