Kim Jong-in (also known as Kai) is a South Korean Pop Singer debuted as the second EXO member under S.M. Entertainment, in which he serves as the "lead" dancer. Kai was the first of twelve Exo members to be formally introduced to the public through teaser trailers, first released on December 23, 2011.Then, his first televised performance with EXO-M's Lu Han, Chen and Tao took place on SBS's Gayo Daejun event on December 29, 2011.
After official debut, Kai, together with his bandmates, introduced to publics their best-selling first album XOXO (2013) winning both Disk Daesang at the 28th Golden Disk Awards and Album of the Year at the 15th Mnet Asian Music Awards and Their third EP Overdose (2014), earning EXO the highest-charting Korean male act on the Billboard 200.
Kai started dancing at the age of 8, training in jazz and ballet after watching The Nutcracker on TV. As his confession, it was Shinwa who inspired him to be a singer and decide to join SM. In 2008, Kai made a brief appearance in TVXQ's music video, "HaHaHa Song" along with Exo-K'sSuho and Chanyeol. Kai graduated from School of Performing Arts Seoul in early 2012.
It is rumored that Kai and Bomi ( a member in Girl Group Apink) are dating.
