Being an American game designer, cartoonist, producer and actor, Jeff Kinney, born Jeffrey Patrick Kinney, is better known as talented author with the best selling children's book series Diary of a Wimpy Kid (2007-2011). When the series was first adapted to screen in 2010, he made his contribution to the movie as an executive producer. In addition, he was ranked as one of the 100 Most Influential People in the world by Times magazine and gained the Dorothy Canfield Fisher Children’s Book Award in 2009.
In the early 1990s, he entered the University of Maryland at College Park, where he generated his famous comic strip, Igdoof, which then appeared in the campus newspaper, The Diamondback. From this success, he then made a decision to become a cartoonist.
He got married to Julie Kinney with two children, Will Kinney and Grant Kinney.
