Jaya Ramsey is a Filipino-Jamaican singer, rapper, dancer, record producer, presenter, and actress. With the debut single If You Leave Me Now, she became the first Filipino recording artist to be ranked at the Billboard Hot 100 chart of the United States. She is now under the management of GMA Artist Center.
Her mother is the singer Elizabeth Ramsey while her father is Ray Kagahastian. They separated when Jaya was young. At the age of 10, she entered showbiz as a backup dancer for her mother. In 1982, she started singing solo.
Jaya’s first marriage with musician Andrew Buffington was from 1998 to 2001. She then got engaged with the second husband Gary Gotidoc, they has a daughter and a son named respectively Sabriya Gotidoc and Dylan Gotidoc.
