Hyuna is a South Korean recording artist, dancer, songwriter and model. She is the main rapper and singer of the Korean girl group 4Minute and part of the musical duo Trouble Maker. Hyuna first rose to fame as the lead rapper of the Korean girl group Wonder Girls before leaving in 2007 due to health issues. Golden Disk Awards, Dance Performance Award, or Best Korean Female Artist are some of Huyna’s various awards earned during her singing career.
She attended Choongam Middle School and Korea High School of Music and Arts and currently attends Konkuk University, majoring in art culture, receiving special admission to the school. She had her first debut album The Wonder Begins with Wonder Girls released in Febuary 2007.
Hyuna has a tattoo on her left shoulder saying "My mother is the heart that keeps me alive”. She later revealed another tattoo, on her right inner arm reading "Tempus", which means ‘time’ in Latin.
