Byun Hee-bong is a South Korean actor, who is famous for The Host (2006), Memories of Murder (2003) and The Game (2008). One year after he made acting debut, he was widely recognized by the excellent performance in the film Chief Inspector (1971).
Byun Hee-bong studied Law at Chosun University before dropping out to pursue acting. He entered the MBC actor's auditions in 1965, and gradually starred in classic films, some notably, Eunuch (1986) and A Surrogate Father (1993).
In modern dramas, he mainly portrays humorous fathers, grandfathers and professionals.
