Haruka Abe is an Anglo-Japanese actress based in London, United Kingdom. Born in Tokyo, she spent her youth split between the USA, UK, and Japan, moving between the three cities with her family. She was known for her appearances as Miko in BBC's Ideal and as Marti in Sleepydog's science-fiction TV series Slingers directed by Steve Barron.
At the age of eight, she tried in acting and the next year she played a role as Bilbo Baggins in her school play adaptation of The Hobbit. When she was 11, her family returned to Tokyo where she attended a children's drama school called Gekidan Himawari in Ebisu, Shibuya, Tokyo. After that, she decided to return to London to pursue her acting career and enrolled in Rose Brudord drama school where she would graduate with a 1st class Bachelor of Arts degree.
