Hal Yamanouchi is an talented Italian Japanese actor, who is fluent in Italian, English, Chinese and Filipino, and also versed in modern dance, ballroom dance, mime, drumming, fighting actions, horse riding and swimming. He was famous for his role as Lou Ferrigno in the Italian-produced Sinbad of the Seven Seas (1989), the undersea adventure comedy The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (2004) and the science fiction action thriller Push (2009). In addition, he was active in the dubbing in different languages for other actors.
He graduated in the Anglo-American language and literature at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies and attended the Perugia (Italy) University of Foreign Languages as well. Beginning acting career since 1996, he made his appearances in numerous films and television series on both western and eastern sides of the acting world.
He is the natural father of rapper and actor Taiyo Yamanouchi and adoptive father of rapper Roman Jesto.
