Mainly deployed as a right winger but also a forward on some occasions, Deulofeu plays for Everton in the Premier League. Beginning his first football career with Barcelona and breaking into the first team aged 17, he was loaned to Everton and Sevilla before signing permanently for the former in summer 2015. The winger has also represented Spain over 60 times from under-16 to under-21 except for under-18, being named the UEFA Under-19 Championship Golden Player in 2012. Joining Barcelona's youth academy aged 9, Deulofeu was promoted to U-13 team. In late April 2011, he was called up to the senior squad in a 1-2 away loss against Real Sociedad in La Liga. Deulofeu scored 18 goals for the Barcelona B in the 2012-13 season, joint-fourth in the second level competition.
