Gabrielle Monique Union, better known as Gabrielle Union, is an American actress and former model. After her first appearance on TV in 1993, she became more famous with the title role of Kirsten Dunst in the popular movie Bring It On (2000), which earned her the Black Reel Award for Best Supporting Actress.
She was born in a Catholic family, her father, Sylvester E. Union, was a business executive and military sergeant while her mother, Theresa (Glass), is a phone company manager and social worker. During highschool, she was a athletic star in soccer, basketball and track. From the start of career, Union was not trained to be an actress but model.
