Eddie Vedder has been the lead singer and guitarist of the rock band Pearl Jam since 1990. With 2 hits Guaranteed and Rise, he was nominated a Golden Globe Award and a Grammy Award in 2008. The magazine Rolling Stone also ranked him #7 on the list Best Lead Singer of All Time due to his powerful and distinctive vocals.
His parents Karen Lee Vedder and Edward Louis Severson, Jr. divorced when he was just one years old. He was brought up by his mother and her new husband Peter Mueller, without knowing that he is the stepfather. After dropping out of school as the pressures of balancing school with working, Vedder joined several bands, including the first one called Bad Radio.
