About
Didier Drogba is an Ivorian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Canadian MLS club “Montreal Impact”. He is not only the all-time top scorer and former captain of the Ivory Coast national team but also had a successful career at Chelsea that he has scored more goals than any other foreign player and is currently the club's fourth highest goal scorer of all time. He has won “African Footballer of the Year” twice, in 2006 and 2009.

Before fame
Drogba was born in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. He was sent to France at the age of five to live with his uncle, Michel Goba, a professional footballer. His mother nicknamed him "Tito" after president Josip Broz Tito of Yugoslavia. He played football every day in a car park in the city in Ivory Coast.
