David Schwimmer is an American actor, director, producer and comedian who rose to fame for his role as Ross Geller in the sitcom Friends, which earned him various nominations and awards throughout the period 1995-2007, including a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series (1996), a TV Guide Award for Editor's Choice (2000) and a nomination for TV Land Award for Most Memorable Kiss (2006). He also caught attention in other works like Six Days Seven Nights (1998), miniseries Band of Brothers (2001) and the thriller Nothing But the Truth (2008).
After graduating from Beverly Hills High School in 1984, he entered Northwestern University in Chicago, majoring in theater. Four year later, he finished studying at university with a Bachelor of Arts degree in theater and speech before becoming the co-founder of the Lookingglass Theatre Company and then pursuing acting career in Los Angeles.
In June 2010,
