Dato’ Siti Nurhaliza, dubbed Voice of Asia and Asia's Celine Dion is known for various roles as singer, songwriter, record producer, television presenter and businesswoman and also famous as the unprecedented multiaward-winning artist in Malaysia. Up to now, she has earned over 200 local as well as international awards such as Gold Award in Asia New Singer Competition at Shanghai Asia Music Festival (1999) and two awards for her first single Jerat Percintaan for Best Performance and Best Ballad at the 11th Anugerah Juara Lagu (1996). In 2008, Asia News Network ranked her as one of Asia's Idol. She is currently considered as one of Malaysia's richest, most-influential, most award-winning and most single-produced artists.
She found a love in music from her musically inclined family, in which her grandfather was a famous violinist, her mother was a local traditional singer and her brother, Saiful Bahri Tarudin, and her sisters Siti Norsaida and Siti Saerah also become singers. Throughout her childhood, she participated in various singing competitions and performed as a the vocalist for his uncle band named Family Group at many public local ceremonies in their hometown.
She got married to Datuk Seri Khalid in 2006.
