Deployed as a centre forward, Ings currently plays for Liverpool in the Premier League and the England national football team. In 2011, he left Bournemouth for Burnley where he won the 2013-14 Championship Player of the Year and helped them promote to Premier League. In the summer of 2015, he moved to Liverpool but his first season at Anfield got stuck and finished due to an injury in a training. Formerly an under-21 international, the forward made his first debut for England in October 2015.
He played youth soccer at Southamptonm, before being released as a school boy. Ings subsequently signed a two-year apprentice contract with Bournemouth in May 2008, having progressed through the club's Centre of Excellence.

Shayne. In November 2014, Ings set up the Danny Ings Disability Sport Project to provide coaching to children with disabilities and learning difficulties.
