Christina Perri is an American singer-songwriter and musician who rose to fame after her debut single Jar of Hearts sold more than three million copies in the United States and became a hit in the world in 2010. In the next year, she caught attention one more time with her self-composed recording A Thousand Years for the film The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1, which was certified 4× platinum with four million copies sold out.
As a child, she learned piano and guitar on her own and regularly performed in musical theatre. She moved to Los Angeles at the age of 21 and began producing music videos a year later.
She got married at the age of 22 but ended in divorce 18 months later.
