American actor Chris Pratt was famous for his television roles as Bright Abbott in Everwood (2002-2006) and Andy Dwyer in Parks and Recreation (2009-2015). In 2014, his appearance as Peter Quill / Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy earned him two awards for Best Ensemble and Breakthrough Performer of the Year and nine nominations, including Favorite Male Action Star and Super Superhero. At the same time, he was also ranked as number two on People magazine's annual list of Sexiest Men Alive.
After leaving the local community college, he worked as a discount ticket salesman and a daytime stripper in Maui. At the age of 19, as a table waiter at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company restaurant, he was discovered by actress and director Rae Dawn Chong who gave him the first debut in Cursed Part 3 (2000).
On July 9, 2009, he got married to actress Anna Faris with their son, Jack (born August 2012).
