A South Korean film director Lee Cheol-ha is best known for his stylish portraits of the human experience. His feature debut Love Me Not was made in 2006, becoming the most expensive picture ever made by a first time director, achieving Grand Bell Awards nominations for Art Direction, Costume Design and Best Leading Actress. His hit films include Story of Wine (2008), Stray Cats (2009). For his prodigious talent, he was granted ATAS Foundation College Television Awards 1999 (1st Place) & 2000 (3rd place).
Lee Cheol-ha was born and raised in Seoul. He served as anassistant director at Sidus FNH in 1999 with his first screen credit being for Il Mare before leaving for California to study a film at Academy of Art University. He then directed commercials and music videos when he came back to Korea. He established a video-production company H Films as well.
