Chang Young-Hee was a South Korean writer, translator, professor and scholar. Some of his authored books are But Love Remains (2004), Birthday (2006), To You Who Becomes Twenty Years Old (2007), etc. She has translated several books, the most popular being "Gone With The Wind".
Her father was also a scholar of English literature. She received Bachelor and Master degrees in English Literature at Sogang University. She also earned a doctoral degree at State University of New York at Buffalo.
She was diagnosed to have breast cancer in 2001, and had 2 surgeries and chemotherapy to remove the tumor. However, Chang died of spinal cancer in 2009. It was metastasized from breast cancer after her eight years' struggling against the disease.
