A German-born South Korean professional footballer Cha Du-Ri is currently playing for K League Classic club FC Seoul who is well known as the first Korean player having played in a FIFA World Cup. He can play as a right back, right winger, or striker. He gained a numerous honours including 2011 AFC Asian Cup Team of the tournament, 2014 K League Classic Best 11 or 2015 AFC Asian Cup Team of the tournament.
Cha Du-Ri was born in Frankfurt am Main, West Germany to Cha Bum-Kun, the best football player in Korean history, that’s considered as the foundation for Cha’s great achievement later. His club career was made in Germany when he played for Bayer Leverkusen from 2002 to 2004, especially, joined one of his father's old clubs, Eintracht Frankfurt, and followed by Koblenz in2. Bundesliga for the 2007–08 season, SC Freiburg.
Cha Du-Ri got married to Shin Hye-Sung the daughter of a wealthy hotel magnate, in 2008. However the couple was divorced in 2003 after 5 years together. They have 2 children.
