Brad Pitt is an American actor and producer who was first recognized for action films, but later became more involved in deeper roles. He came to prominence after the film Thelma & Louise (1991). He has so far received a Golden Globe Award, five Academy Award nominations, three for acting and two for producing, winning one. His other popular films are: A River Runs Through It (1992), 12 Monkeys (1995), Ocean's Eleven (2001), Mr. and Mrs. Smith (2005), World War Z (2013), 12 Years a Slave (2013), etc.
Pitt grew up as a talented kid in different fields. He attended University of Missouri, majoring in Journalism, but dropped out just 2 weeks before graduating because he wanted to work in film industry. He later left to Los Angeles to take acting classes. He started acting in 1987.
Pitt is married to actress Angelina Jolie since 2014, after being together for almost a decade. They have 6 children, 3 biological and 3 adopted. Since he started his relationship with Jolie, he has been involved profoundly in social issues both nationally and internationally.
