Borwornsak Uwanno is widely known as the secretary-general of King Prajadhipok's Institute, who is also a Thai legal expert, professor of Law at Chulalongkorn University and a former Cabinet secretary-general under the Thaksin-government. He was awarded the National Outstanding Researcher Award and many other oustanding honours as well as decorations.
Borwornsak Uwanno was born as the seventh son of Mr. and Mrs. Pat Ari Uwanno. He graduated from the Faculty of Law at Chulalongkorn University in Thailand and became the Policy Advisor to the Prime Minister. He also served as a member of the House Ad Hoc Committee on Constitutional Reform (1993–94) and a member of the Committee of Democracy Development.
He got married and currently has 2 daughters.
