Kim Do Jin, better known as Won Bin is a South Korean actor who first gained wide popularity in 2000 after starring in the television drama Autumn in My Heart. He has since gained critical acclaim for his performance. In 2010, he won two Best Actor awards for The Man from Nowhere in 47th Grand Bell Awards and 8th Korean Film Awards.
Kim's father was formerly employed in a mine and his mother worked on a farm. In November 1995, a cable television station was looking to recruit and hire new actors; Won applied and was accepted in his last semester of high school. He made his screen debut with a supporting role in the 1997 drama film Propose.
