Bernard Chandran is a Malaysian fashion designer who used to be well-known as Prince of Fashion and currently becomes the King of Fashion of Malaysia. His clients are mainly the rich, especially the Royal families of Malaysia and Brunei and two former Miss Universe. In addition, he is involved in other roles like the chief designer of the reality television show Project Runway Malaysia, a brand ambassador for the Tiffani By Izen service apartments and a guest judge on Britain's Next Top Model, Cycle 6, Episode 12. His talent was honored by the Malaysian International Fashion Award for Designer of the Year (2003) and Malaysian International Fashion Alliance's [MIFA] Special Achievement Award 2009.
He found his love in fashion design when he was 16. After attending International Fashion Training Centre (IFTC) in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia, he enrolled in the prestigious Paris Fashion School in Paris, France. In 1991, he became the winner of the Open European Contest for Look of the Year 2000.
He got married to Datin Mary Lourdes Chandran, one of his former models, with five children.
