As a right-handed batsman and left-arm orthodox spin bowler, former Malaysian cricketer Arul Suppiah, born Arul Vivasvan Suppiah, has been involved in the Malaysia national cricket team since 1999 and county cricket in England for Somerset. Becoming the youngest player to play for Malaysia from age 15, he made an unprecedented hat-trick in the 37-year history of the fixture in the Saudara Cup match against Singapore. His career was marked with a new world record for best Twenty20 bowling figures on 5 July 2011.
He entered Millfield School in England, where he played for the school's cricket team from 1998 to 2001.
