Known as youngest player on the national team at the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup, Alexandra Patricia Morgan, who is usually called Alex Morgan, is a talented football player in the United States. She plays at forward position for the Portland Thorns FC, belonging to the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) as well as the United States women's national soccer team. She came to fame internationally when scoring the winning goal at the semifinal of 2012 London Olympics
Born in San Dimas, California, she was the daughter of Pamela S. and Michael T. Morgan. She displayed her interest in sports, especially in football at the early age. It was until age 14 that she became a member of Cypress Elite, she started playing for soccer club. She was considered all-American and widely known for her speed when learning at Diamond Bar High School. Morgan became a player of the United States under-20 women's national soccer team at the age of 17.
